just an update

Up early this morning as every morning for prayers but today was different as its the sunnah day for hijamah

I started early with my DH and DD who fainted as per normal for her. I decided to teach my DH the technique so he could cup me and mashaAllah he did a fine job for first time. DD videoed it on my phone so i could have a look. That's me sorted now alhamduilah, as i often had to go in search for a therapist and last month i paid £30 for it. After being cupped we have a warm drink of honey.

Just pottering about , mixed some pizza dough as dd 7yrs old has been asking to make pizzas for ages after she discovered my new cute little rolling pin (pictures latter).

I have more clients arriving in about an hour i find the spring season is popular for cupping therapy.

The long weekend has been and almost gone , its been wet and grey, we stayed at home just enjoying each others company, i have a mountain of ironing i need to tackle today as i have been saying for about a week.
I started a cushion case with my new wool, which is coming on but i find myself becoming dishearterned so soon, my problem is i want results and fast..........i am so impressed with Barbara and the amount of dish cloths she turns out, i got a new crochet magazine and feel inspired so need to get cracking.

My kids have to stop from their Saturday Arabic school sadly which means i feel stressed about their Arabic and quran learning but will try to maintain it best i can inshaAllah (God Willing). My DD 15yrs old has finished her 3 month TAWHEED course , that she enjoyed so much mashaAllah. I am planing to go and do a 3 month course myself for the June term. My Tajweed class is going well but i find when problems hit home my studies suffer alhamduilah.

I will be back latter with pictures and more ............just other stuff we did today, i finially used my Ramikien dishes that i purchased a month ago with a credit crunch dessert. Strawberry jelly topped with strawberry mouse topped with shavings of dark chocolate.

A Woolie find

In the form of wool or Yarn if like, i found some cheep wool today and i am looking forward to starting some new projects!

here is some i purchased from here i wanted yarn for making a jewerelly the silver is too silver and my kids describe it as tin foil. The others are nice but soo hard to crochet with i felt more of an knitting yarn so i made this bag with the black one , i knitted it!

its a wee back to keep my smal prayer book in so it won't get grubby in my hand bag but then my DD7yrs old has taken claim to it! Am i ever going to get to keep something for me? My DD decided it needed a flower so i made this free style meaning my own made up pattern and it looks horrible so we decided not to use it. The kids then said i should have made it in another colour and guess what? They are right!

Murder in the Garden

Well i thought i would try my hand at some gardening this year as in the past i kill everything normally,,so why did i assume there would be an exception now?

Well i hanged some trellis and seeing we are getting a garden shed i needed to free up a corner of the garden to accommodate this. This meant digging up plant and relocating them. Well all started well and i managed to finish the task almost but my lemon smelling plant is dying on me and i killed it by digging it up, i feel so sad this was my success story from 4yrs ago and now it looks so sad. I hurt it i am sure i did.


Please someone advice me what i can do to save this blessing? I am a very sad Rainbow at the moment.

The occasion is? My son won Gold and Bronze at his karate tournament yesterday mashaAllah. We are all very happy for him as he only started up with this group upon his return to the UK 9mths ago alhamduilah.

I am back again back.............

My PC crashed again a long absence means i was missing you all too. My DS10 downloads some game or the other and then messes all my system up, in an ideal world each child could have his/her own lap top but them will come other dangers too. So i am back with a blank page , all my files deleted so i am slowly re-building again!
Here are some projects i tackled in my PC absence continuing with my Palestine Support. I made an activist clutch bag that my DD15 took possession of on first sight and made it into a handy bag, have a look and see what you think?







Then there was an ipod holder for DD15 while she is on the move around the home, ideally hoovering.



I had ago at making a ring i made two one in black with red beads but my sister took it the very minute it was taken of the hook! I ordered some yarn esp for jewelry making but remain disappointed with it. The silver looks like tin foil too shiny.
Another yarn i ordered is impossible to use on a crochet hook so iam knitting a cover for my prayer book with it instead as its getting all grubby in my hand bag so i though this may give it a longer life inshaAllah (God willing).


Other stuff been happening my DH has been extremly unwell and has been signed of work for 6weeks due to this, my DD15 has been unwell so i have been looking after them in the process iam now feeling unwell...need a long break i think, well the half term hols are here 2weeks would be nice to get away but i know it will not happen , my bank balance tells me so alhamduilah( All praise is due to Allah). I have been looking after my mother who has also been unwell escorting her to various appointments.

Have not been cooking much gone off food, just don't fancy anything, my DH has been living on Talbina (Barley Flour Porridge) sweetened with lotus leave honey.

Just adjusting to life and the onset of spring, i have been in the garden but my garden is nothing to shout about but i am trying my hand at putting it nice after years of neglect , i am finally putting it the way i want it inshaAlah.

This is a cause i support and have followed the convoy 's progress online that left Britian and arrived in Gazza with all the aid dispite the attack and obstacles,All praise is due to Allah(GOD) who has made this possible! I am so happy for the people of Gazza.

Crocheted bag

My first bag mashaallah yahay my dd 7yrs asked me tomake her one and choose the colours, i tried to put her off by saying we didn't have the right beeds but she searched high and low to round up 15, there is even a piece of the fairy lights in there. Came nice happy with the result,i am working on a Gazza purse for dd 15yrs now.


BTW dd 7yrs old took all the pictures herself , got alittle carried away mind you i like her shots mashaAllah.

The Learning Curve

Alhamduilah the kids are liking school and the learning is coming on thick and fast mashaAllah. The year 2 has been doing a whole project about the great fire of London. I took her to the London Museum to supplement the learning process. It's been interesting for me to re-learn about it again after so many years. Here are some pictures

St Paul's Cathedral was burnt down during the fire and re-built after. Stillstanding today.
