In February i meet a lovely lady at my Quran class, who really inspired me by her humbleness and kindness towards others. She is a lady who with her and her late DH (may Allah have mercy upon his soul), raised money and built and orphanage in Gambia for destitute children giving them a chance for a better life, she got them a teacher and residence and offered them security with hope. I felt very moved by the efforts of this lady who has no connection with the Gambian people but wanted to help MashaAllah. She was raising funds to extend the building and add walls to some areas as there was only a roof on the school and when it rained they became wet.
I offered her my help in organizing a Bazaar, it took place on Saturday and i am happy to say with Allah's blessings it was a great sucess and we raised £750 on the day , for a small effort really i was so happy, more so happy for the Orphans. I took some pictures , i forgot to take of the garden out there we had tables doing , Henna art, craft tables and cup cake decorating. I had a lot of positive feedback and hope to do this again in the future on a larger scale inshaAllah!
My home was over run with bags of dontated items for the bazaar
I had crafted some broochs for weeks leading upto the event to sell in aid of this cause. They sold really well!
Some book markers i had created
The note books big and small did really well.
About my trails and tribulations , expierences , laughter and tears. Thoughts new and old , its all about me and what shapes the inner me.

Friends Reunited
On Facebook i recently found some old school friends from there an old friend found me and was able to tell me where i could possibly find another friend who i have often thought about over these past 20yrs or more. Now Hayley directed me to Friend Reunited site and there i found another friend Aliya. Well i sent her an email without hesitation, she informed me she was living in Dubai now but was coming to the UK in a weeks time and wanted to meet up. To be honest i was suprissed at how soon she asked as if its me i would chat online for much more longer. Well i am glad she did, after having to cancel a few times we finially meet in Essex. I arrived first so she had to spot me out, Aliya thought it was me but hesitated, i recongnized her right away. I had changed greatly for her from the 15yr old teen she had once known.
Aliya was very happy and touched at having found me again after so long as over the years she said she wondered and wanted to find me soon but Allah had planned it all different for us. There were no akward silences, no lack of what to say, no shortage of memories to recall mostly prompted by aliya i may add. I came away from the meeting feeling happy and discovering that i meant a lot more to Aliya all them years ago than i may have realised at the time.
My dear friend is all grown up now and has children and a Dh, she is a carrer woman ( i always knew she would be), we still remain like chalk and cheese but untied as friends. We talked and talk well i did the most! About families , past friends , our familes and we just bonded all over again. We are going to keep intouch and defo meet again when we can insha Allah .
I already chated with Aliya online yesterday and it was so nice having a friend again , that shares so much about you, that cares and advices you mashaAllah may allah bless our friendship ameen!
I will leave you with photos of the lunch we shared that day........
Aliya possitioned the bread sticks this way she said it was peace out and not the other rude gesture! ( i know better she was being her funny self lool)
Aliya got me some lovely gifts these jelly beans are great mashaAllah each one has a different flavour and some great flavours too!
A hair clamp that a little somebody decided to take ownership of in a haste that she didn't have time to remove the tag but i have since taken it back!
a very pretty shawl from dubai and lots of chocs to make me fatter!
I had a very specail day and didn't want it to end.
Thank you Aliya
It's all been a little hectic last week
My DH was able to get a last minuite deal for the ferry crossing from Marselle to Algeria with a great reduced price. So now it was final they will be going on hols DH and my DD 15yrs old. I asked DH if it was not terribly expenvie how about taking Ds aged 10yrs old as well? An extra £100 and it was all done! I had endless shopping trips.....mum i need this , i need that, dear wife did you get my mother this , then gifts.........ect it felt never ending and not easy on the purse too. Come Sunday evening DH discovers DS's passport has expired since June......what a STRESS a rollercoaster of emotions i can tell you! what was i to do Sunday evening ? they depart Monday night?
I had DS in tears , DH thinking through every possible senario , i felt like i was going to bust with all the knotted stress building up in my stomach! At this point i told DS the should pray to Allah for a miricle , DD agreed and both offered extra prayers in this cause. I managed to get hold of the passport office but there were NO fast track appt for Monday only Thurs but i was adviced to keep ringing until 11pm incase there was a cancelation. Now bear in mind its Sunday evening and we need an application form, photos , counter signature its just seemed all impossible but i tell you what where there is a will and allah's blessings ofcourse there is always away. after a much stressed evening we managed to land an appointment for next day and get all the requirments fullfiled alhamduilah. Monday DS got his miricle subhan Allah!
Next day it was just me and my yongest DS7 1/2 almost 8 yrs old left behind. We felt so so sad and lonely , tears were shead i can tell you now! Suddenly all this, the family home ect meant nothing without them!
