Harvested Gifts!

Many of you may be harvesting your crops in the garden from last season , only now to enjoy them.
My mother sent me over this wonderful marrow she grew

My sister gave me these lovely organic sweet bell peppers

I cooked the peppers suffted with brown and white rice, chick peas and diced mushrooms........topped with grated red cheese.

Machallah that's a BIG vegetable. I do not think I ever ate 'mallow' can you find this in Algeria? I would love to try it!

I do believe Marrow is a very British Veg.It comes from the courgette family as they start of as courgettes and allowed to grow bigger. it contains a lot of water when cooking it will release a lot! Its quite a bland veg but i spice it up as a curry.
