Khubz (BREAD)

I wanted to make khubz tagine but my tagine has been spoiling my cooker so i am not using it anymore on the hob.
I mixed 2 cups of fine semolina
2 cups of plain flour
some grated lemmon rind and some salt
Yeast to rise and water to mix

Shaped them out into rounds and sprinkled the trays with a little semolina , pierced with a fork and baked at gas mark 6 for around 20-30mins.

Assalaamu alaikm,

Looks good sis masha'Allah. Can you give more instructions... I assume you knead the dough? How long for etc.? I need step by step instructs! I'd love to try this and surprise hubby during Ramadan. :) Is the lemon rind optional?

yes habibati you kneed the dough and leave it to rise but don't expect to much to rise in volume as the semolina will weigh it down, don't put lemmon rind, put black seeds insead or anissed. Once rolled out leave to rise again on trays before baking and i used a rolling pin to roll it out tidying edges by hand.Have a detailed lok here i now you are on that forum no? http://muslimahs4algeria.niceboard.com/khobz-bread-f71/i-need-help-with-matlou-please-t5378.htm
