Mission flutter

Explore the life cycle of some of the world’s most beautiful creatures this summer in the giant maze and butterfly house at the Amazing Butterflies, the new family exhibition at the Museum.

Begin at the maze that takes you on a journey from egg to caterpillar, and chrysalis to butterfly. There's a zip slide where you can soar through the air like a butterfly. Mind your head as you enter the butterfly house. It is home to hundreds of flying butterflies and moths bred in the exhibition's own hatchery. Your journey finishes in the beautiful butterfly garden, planted with British flowers that attract native species.
