What a great find ma sha Allah. I have started stocking up on my craft but it wasn't so much of a bargain. So today we set off for a car boot sale that dh used to frequent quite a few years ago, only to find that they've changed it to Saturdays! So we'll have to wait until next week in sha Allah!
Assalam-alaikam Sister Rainbow,
good bargain you got there. The bag is nice too. I'd love to see/hear about your ideas for storing your craft stuff.
I like the dolls too, I'm trying to promote hijab positively to my daughter whilst she's still little, so these are a great idea (I might just make little scarves for her dolls).
The last pic hit the spot, I'm going to be looking for crockery as I thought to buy some in Pakistan and a service costs about £60, so when I go next I'll keep an eye out.
Which market(s) do you go to if its okay to ask?
walakum aslam ukti umm Saliah
I saw those plasic sets in Upton Park today is that what you were mentioning? I didn't ask the price but certianly not £70 as that is too esp for Pakistan.
I go to Dunton and there is another futher up the road near the Mc Donalds, i am sorry i am useless at directions and i don't go often, last year we set of early at 7am only to get lost and drive around and finally get to the carboot at 9.30am, i don't drive so i have to rely on others but i did go one year with dh and we went to Dunton first and if you finsh there (its masive BTW) say 8.30am we headed to the other one and it were only 10mins drive from Dunton so we did two in one morning, also i know there is another in the area Barly lanes farm? not sure on the name as i am not a frequent car booter. I do hope this info helps happy muslim mama.

Mashallah, lovely bag, and lots of goodies. Glad to see you finding some bargains sis. Hope you and family are well. I did try to contact you a couple of days ago on msn but you didn't reply. Speak soon inshallah.
Salaams,
hey Dunton's the one I go to. If you see a dopey smiling woman in an abaya and glasses with a pram it's probably me.
The barleyland farm one is 10 mins from Dunton and is my fave as it starts at 10am and has a really nice friendly atmosphere and lots of craft stuff and kids books.
